Bacharach Tru Pointe Ultra Leak Detector with headphones

The TruPointe ultrasonic instruments detect the inaudible high-frequency ultrasonic sound of high pressure leaks and mechanical wear. Through a process called heterodyning, the ultrasonic sound of a leak in converted to a lower frequency that can be heard through headphones. Since these instruments detect only sound, they are gas independent, useful for any type of gas that is leaking.
Test for leaks in pressurized gas tanks or pipes and vacuum leaks; included touch probe detects leaks internally such as in valve seals, steam traps, and the knocking or scraping in bearings. Optional SoundBlaster® can be placed inside a tank or behind a barrier, giving off an ultrasonic signal that can be read by the instruments.

Tru Pointe Ultra has been designed specifically for the HVAC-R industry. The regular kit includes compact headphones.
