Fluke Networks VisiFault™ Visual Fault Locator with FiberLert™ Live Fiber Detector

Use the handheld VisiFault locator (VFL) to diagnose simple fiber optic link problems. This laser-powered VFL helps locate fibers, verify continuity and polarity, and find the location of breaks in fiber optic cables, connectors, and splices. It emits a bright red beam easily visible from a distance. Connect the locator to one end of a fiber then locate that fiber at the other end. Use the integrated 2.5-mm adapter to connect to SC, ST, FC, and FJ connectors; the optional 1.25-mm adapter allows connection to LC and MU SFF connectors. An energy-absorbing holster and an impact-resistant case help withstand demanding field applications. Compact locator only measures 15.7 x 5.2 x 3.7 cm (6-1/4" x 2" x 1-5/16").

Detect optical power in SM and MM fiber (850 to 1625 nm) with FiberLert live fiber detector. This pocket-sized detector senses near infrared light emitted from fiber optic cabling. Simply place the detector in front of the fiber end face or port and a light and tone indicate an active fiber, no setup or interpretation required. Use it to test single mode, multimode, and UPC and APC patch cords. This lightweight and small detector only weighs 59 g (2.1 oz) and measures 16.8 x 2.5 x 1.6 cm (6-5/8" x 1" x 5/8").
