More About this Item

Use this noninvasive moisture meter to detect moisture up to 3/4" (1.9 cm) below the surface of masonry, wood, drywall, and concrete. The meter has been specifically calibrated for use with drywall, masonry, hardwood, and softwood. Easily switch between the four materials using the two toggle buttons on the front panel.

Colored LEDs provide rough readings of the measured value in a bar graph format, with green indicating "dry", yellow indicating "intermediate", and red indicating "wet". An audible out-of-range alarm alerts you when the tested wood is above 17% in moisture content or masonry is found to be more than 70% wet. Features data Hold, low-battery indicator, and auto power-off.

For wood: green=5 to 14%, yellow=15 to 17%, red= >17%
For drywall and masonry: green=0 to 30%, yellow=31 to 70%, red= >70%
