Rugged and reliable
Designed for easy integration into standard 4 wire systems, the CI’s onboard electronics are protected by a rugged NEMA 4 stainless steel housing. Compare this to the plastic housings used on other small IR sensors.

Thermal shock and temperature coefficient specifications are also outstanding for a sensor this small. And the 4:1 optics, 300mSec response time, and ±1% repeatability all help assure fast, accurate measurements.

Offset errors eliminated
Because the CI has the same 50 ohm output impedance as a thermocouple, it functions accurately, when used in conjunction with the thermocouple break protection circuitry in most controllers, displays, and transmitters.
