The ideal choice for multiple or odd-shaped sensors
Fluidized baths are excellent for calibrating all types of temperature sensors, and are the first choice for large, odd shaped, or multiple sensors. They heat up quickly, but cool very slowly, so they work the best if left at a constant temperaaure. Most labs use two or more units for multi point calibrations. They are by far the fastest to stabilize when calibrating filledbulb-type sensors. These units should be used with an air filter, a pressure regulator, and a temperature controller. For best stability and uniformity in these baths, the optional TC8D temperature controller, catalog number TNC3012000, is recommended that provides 3-term PID control via a type K thermocouple.
